My biggest piece of wedding advice is, take a moment with Seb just to stop and watch your wedding. Even if it’s only 30 seconds. Find a spot and just watch and remember that moment, remember you are at your wedding! You’ll remember it forever! I’m big into smells, they remind me of things, so get a candle that you don’t have with a unique smell, we had Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede candle and in that moment we both smelt the candle aswell. Now everytime I smell that candle I think back to that moment at our wedding! ???

A tip I have is just to be present, it will go by so quickly <3 I have no regrets from my wedding day honestly. Something we did was we really didn't separate at all during our reception. We made a plan to just hold hands most of the night so people couldn't pull us different directions and we are so happy we did that. Also when you walk down the aisle make sure to stare at him and not the crowd 🙂 it is okay to glance at the crowd but you do not get that moment back. Burn that into your memory, a videographer cannot capture it through your eyes. Lastly congratulations!! You are going to be a gorgeous bride.

As an editor, I really have to zoom in and take a look at a bride’s makeup. This is what I see again and again: 1) full FULL coverage foundation makes them look a lot older, less fresh and it looks terrible by the time they get to the reception. There was this bride who did medium to light coverage + dewy finish and it looked perfect the entire evening. 2) make sure about flashback, white cast. Moreover, brides should choose the foundation undertone very carefully. I remember a specific bride whose face I had to colour edit in every single picture because the undertone made her skin look green: She was cool toned and the MUA put on a yellow undertone foundation. 3) Glitter: if you want to use it, make sure you use a product that will make it stay put. So many brides go to church with eyeshadow glitter all over their face and cleavage.

@Goutam Mondal what effect does it have? I’m getting married in 3 weeks outdoors, and I was planning on an spf 30 moisturizer under primer. How does it look bad? Not that I’m nervous or anything…………..

I contoured my nose for my wedding makeup and now whenever I look at photos from my wedding it’s all I can see, even though all my friends and family say they don’t notice my nose looks any different. It’s good you are going for a natural look because you don’t want to look back at your wedding photos and feel like it’s not even you.

I’m probably way too late for you to see this, but a friend of mine told me that she really regrets not telling the photographer which parts of the wedding and who of the guests are most important to her and her husband, and now she doesn’t have a single picture of one of her closest friends at the wedding..so yeah I hope you see this even though this is like the 9000st comment ?

Sometimes that is better cuz if you get a photo with a friend and later betrayes or hurts you youl regret it or have to throw the photo away thats why i would like to let te photografer do it random

I will say (as a photographer myself) I feel for all of you saying this! You should have a full consultation before your wedding. And you shouldn’t have to think to tell them, they should ask! I always ask, and I want details, who to get you with, (and why!) and the same if there’s anyone NOT to get you with?. I promise you it’s a sign of a poor photographer if you weren’t explicitly ASKED if there were shots you particularly wanted! Whilst I can’t change the experience you guys have had, feel free to keep that in mind for friends/relatives! And yeah, make sure if you’re already tied in by a contract to be picky, and pedantic about what you want. Your big day after all!xxx

If you add a piece of tape from the corner of your eye to the end of your eyebrow and then put on your eyeshadow it will give you a winged eyeshadow look. And if it’s to intense for your liking you can just lightly blend it out with a clean blending brush.?

So happy for you! You won’t have the problem I had… I got bullied by the salon I chose. I got married in 2007, before Instagram and YouTube tutorials made life easy!

I had 2 run throughs, and both times neither look was even close to what I was asking for. I had even brought a ton of photos! The salon owner had booked me with a younger makeup artist who she said was the best in the salon. Long story short… I had to wait for my hair to be done, the makeup was so bad that I went home, took it off, and re did it myself! AND to add insult to injury… when I went to pay, the owner kept insisting I owed more money!

I had the 2 run throughs, hair & makeup for that day, and my sister had also left money with me for hers. (Yes, my sister left the salon to go to our parents house bc she didn’t want to stay at the salon any longer, but that’s another issue that day lol). The owner was adding incorrectly and I could see where she was going wrong. We had the charges on a piece of paper and were adding it on a phone. I politely asked if I could see the phone as it wasn’t mine, so I could show her where it was wrong, and like a 4 year old, she pulled the phone back behind her, keeping it away from me! ? when she finally gave me a chance to show her, and she saw her mistake, do you think she apologized? Nope! She legit went, “oh…” and walked away!

I was so upset, I can’t imagine a business owner doing that to someone on their special day! And considering I was so unsatisfied, you think she would have cared. Her husband was so nice, he apologized to me and said that was just the way his wife is… shouldn’t be running a business then! ?

Omg how horrible! I cancelled my “reputable” hair stylist the day before my wedding because she didn’t get what I wanted despite having two trials and loads of photos. She kept promising that on the day it would be perfect and on the day she would do this and that.. I ended up using mum’s hairdresser who got it spot on and at a fraction of the price. I couldn’t believe my luck!
