Take a look back at the last hundred years of bridal makeup, from the shine-free cream-to-powder foundation of the 1920s and the hyper feminine doe eyes of the 1950s to the boho chic of the 1970s and the dewy look that many brides prefer today.

I’m just here waiting for Karilina zebrowska to make a commentary on this video to see more accurate looks lol
YES
Same. Gotta get meme mom to watch.
Omg your profile pic lol
? How did you just…. read my mind!? ?
@mothbqlls Im talking about Karolina, i thought that its clear.
I literally cannot believe they were talking about brides in the 1980s without mentioning Princess Diana. I wasn’t even born and I still know how iconic/influential her look was during the era.
I wouldn’t have wanted that dress. Diana looked like she was being swallowed by it.
@Sopharath Samith We need to get over the negative feelings. It takes all kind of people to make a world. We should focus on the good because does it truly affect your daily life?
Her dress was epic but definitely not her makeup!
EXACTLY!
Sopharath Samita AAAAAA IKR
PLEASE call this what it is, your MODERN interpretations of “100 years of makeup!” You really downplayed most of the looks and while they’re pretty, they don’t represent what was actually popular in the decade.
Yes
@Holly Jackson except the whole point of the video was trying to accurately represent 100 years of bridal makeup, if you care to read at all.
Correct!
I think they have their own makeup/hair stylists as opposed to hiring vintage ones.
Holly thank you!
I love the throwing the bouquet transition between brides
Me too!
same its soo satisfying
They’re cute looks but definitely not historically accurate.
Yes
Heidi Vining What makes you think that those are more accurate than this?
@Zahara Bentum Ever looked at vintage pictures and fashion plates on Pinterest?
How do you know?
Heidi Vining I agree
I don’t know why but i’m addicted to this channel
Kal0 Oof-finity yep
Me too
Frrr
Same
Me too but people who expect them to be perfect point out their flaws
I watch these as a guilty pleasure, I know they’re not historically accurate but they’re so fun
the brows are highly inaccurate, I feel like these are modern makeup looks inspired by each era. And the 80s… No one wore such colors for their wedding, light blue, white and silver eyeshadow with some kohl was popular.
Sadly Alone Human ikr
• Sapphire Blueberry • exactly
How would you know nobody would do this and that everyone is not your business
The video was about the MAKE-UP and not all people are so formal
*Makeup not clothing*
From powder of the 1920’s to fake nails of the 1930’s vail began to be more booming of the 1940’s to the 1980’s with heavy doll like makeup to now as we call the modern bride…
Whenever one of these videos comes out, I’m always curious to what look actually looks like the era its from or if they’re just playing up the dramatization for views.
Ааааааааааааа
Look up Karolina zebrowska
Watch for decades you remember. That’s the best indicator.
And realize the country is huge and fads differ by income and age, too.
Well, the rest was pretty bad, but the 50s was actually quite accurate. Maybe they are learning…
i can conclude that allure has the WORST 100 years videos
LITTERALY not everything is gonna be accurate but everything is perfect they do this for fun not to prove an historical point
Why would You said so anyway ?
Any reasons ???
Wanna hear Your explanations badly ??
Agreed
Elliott Allen that’s what you said
Honestly,I was afraid of the 80s,but it wasn’t that bad.
No. Read my message. My friend did pastels. Her photo was gorgeous.
Had know idea people had fake nails and fake eyelashes in the 30s. I thought it would at least come 20 years later
@Kiki Newton I agree that if fake nails were to be had back then, it was movie stars and rich ladies.
Nah, they had em. But they were more for the rich snobs and movie stars that could afford them
ikr
Same
The 1950’s make up was so pretty!
This is so interesting cuz I’m getting married this November!!! I think my fave was the 1950s!
Congratulations
Omg congratulations, you must be married by now
The 1950’s was amazing. Me and my stepmom are getting that matching make up for her and my dads wedding. Btw congratulations!
Congratulations!
Congratulations!
You always do the 20s and 30s dirty 🙁 neither of those look anything like makeup from those eras.
I love your profile picture
I think 2010’s brides typically do more of a glamorous makeup look.
1930s “high Greta Garbo arches… False lashes”
Me: where?
One thing is common among all the brides
They all look great!
